About Crypto Justin

Welcome to Crypto Justin 👋🏻 - my name is, you guessed it, Justin and I've been involved in the crypto industry since early 2012 when I first started mining Bitcoin; long before it reached the $20 mark.

I was one of the unfortunate ones who lost all their crypto and fiat assets in the MtGox bankruptcy where I saw the true impact of the reliance of custodial wallets and centralised exchanges. Ever since, my focus has been on trying to help newcomers to the industry find the balance between empowering decentralisation while ensuring safety, governance and privacy without compromising people's livelihoods.

I’m actively involved in the industry where I’ve helped launch new crypto tokens, consulted to companies, and I am actively building Web3 solutions on-chain to empower the global adoption of crypto in the mainstream.

My passion and interest in Web3 and the crypto industry is in growing crypto adoption in third-world countries, particularly in Africa, to help bridge the financial divide and bring decentralised finance to the truly impoverished.

My Skills and Expertise

• I have owned and exited a series of web startups and actively working on two web3 startups in the crypto space.
• I'm an engineer at heart and have developed various front-end and backend systems within a technology, mobile and crypto space. I have extensive programming knowledge in JavaScript frameworks (Vue, React, Node), Python, PHP (Laravel), along with bash, Swift/Objective-C, Java, and many more to boot.
• I was a lecturer at university where I facilitated a 3-year degree programme on Interaction Design which included UI, UX and Front-End development.
