Rare 1st Edition Pudgy Penguins Vibes - Enter the Huddle RWA NFT

As you know, I really believe in Real-World Assets (RWA) as an NFT strategy and all my NFT purchases are now RWA backed to tangible assets I can burn and sell off-chain if I wanted to.

Rare 1st Edition Pudgy Penguins Vibes - Enter the Huddle RWA NFT

I own a lot of trading cards and memorabilia this way and am active in buying and selling these as a decent side-hustle. Some of the most popular and really valuable are still Pokemon trading cards and having them as RWA is opening up trading to a whole new market.

💡
NFTs are not limited to the digital realm. They can also represent real-world assets and can enable the digitisation and tokenisation of these assets, making them more accessible and transferable online. For example, an NFT can be linked to a piece of art, gold, sports memorabilia, trading cards, a car, or even a diamond and the ownership of the NFT can be transferred along with the ownership of the physical asset to owners by selling or transferring it to a different blockchain wallet address.

I was fortune enough to get in on a rare Pudgy Penguins 1st Edition mint on the Solana blockchain a few days ago. They made 244 of the Vibes - Enter the Huddle sealed boxes available for a minting price of $144 USDC.

The RWA is represented as a single NFT but it is linked to the physical asset of a sealed box with 20 packs of 12 trading cards in each pack. Each pack includes the following cards:

🔸4x Common cards
🔸3x Uncommon cards
🔸1x Rare or Epic Rare card
🔸1x Foil of any rarity, or Artist's Sketch
🔸1x QR code card, redeemable for a pack in the virtual game

The NFT I bought can be sold, transferred or redeemed for the physical product by burning the NFT on the blockchain.

Pokemon 1st Edition are super rare but it's taken 10 years to appreciate in value. With Pudgy Penguins still trading with a floor price of 24 $ETH I think these rare 1st edition packs are going to do well in a few years.

The RWA assets I have acquired are all long-term plays. I don't believe RWA are short-term strategies and you should think of them as rare collectables that, in a more traditional sense, take time to appreciate in value. I see them as investments to top up my retirement fund in 10 years time. If you're looking for quick returns, RWAs are not the play.

Have a look at some of the other RWA trading cards I have for sale at the moment.
